Climbing in Positano with expert guide
It's a climbing lesson for both beginners or experts with qualified instructors. We will provide you with all the climbing equipment. We will climb in Montepertuso; this village sits above Positano, overlooking the sea; it is a place where time seems to stand still. Its name comes from the massive natural hole in the rock (Montepertuso means “pierced rock” literally).
The legend holds that Montepertuso was the location of the eternal fight between Good and Evil, respectively personified by the Virgin Mary and the Devil, the latter portrayed as a snake. One night the Good won over the Evil and the hole in the rock is the visible everlasting sign of the Virgin Mary’s presence.
The climbing wall is located in the middle of the path which is just below the “pierced rock”. After about 30 minutes of walking through woods and panoramic points overlooking Positano, we will reach the wall where we will climb. The climbing lesson will last about 3 hours; after that, we will walk back to the little square of Montepertuso. The excursion starts and ends in the same point.
Please note:
This climbing in Positano is not suitable for those suffering from heart or knees problems. We recommend being prepared with sportswear and trekking shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a bottle of water.
